Winter Activities in the Annapolis Valley Nova Scotia

Annapolis, Nova Scotia is well known for it’s beauty in the summer and fall, but what is there to do in the winter? The Annapolis Valley hosts many annual events from January through March and here are just a few.

The annual Eagle Watch held in Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia has been attracting thousands of visitors to the farming community for several years now. During the winter months, bald eagles are soaring through the skies looking for food. On January 29-30 and February 5-6, Sheffield Mills will be hosing their annual Eagle Watch. Be sure to keep your eyes pealed on your Nova Scotia vacation!

If you have a love for skiing or snowboarding, Windsor has Ski Martock which offers some of the best skiing in Atlantic Canada. Their 600 foot mountain is open from early December to late March.

Heading to the ice-rink is a tradition for many families around Nova Scotia. There are tons of skating rinks that offer public and family skates in the Annapolis Valley.
